Before we go through the ins and outs of Team Soul Nutrition, our one-stop shop for all your individual nutritional needs, we have to say this: we love food, and we aren’t ashamed to admit it. It doesn’t scare or worry us; on the other hand, we look forward to all the positive ways it impacts our daily lives, from supercharging our workouts to keeping our minds in balance. However, it wasn’t always like this for some of us. From overeating, to starving ourselves, to trying fad diets and detoxes, we’ve done it all, and we’ve come to realize, above all things, that the way we VIEW food is what makes us successful in having a healthy relationship to it. Team Soul Nutrition is NOT about setting limits. Rather, we believe food is fuel and that it should taste good and be enjoyed. Period. Through Team Soul Nutrition, we’ve been able to provide our clients with a program that stresses the importance of seeing food through this lens, while at the same time catering to their specific needs and desires. Today, our clients include an array of people, from CrossFit Games athletes and champion weightlifters, to people that workout a couple of times a week or not at all. There is no pre-requisite to joining our nutrition program except that you’re interested in learning more about how a proactive relationship to food can exponentially yield positive results in your life.
ADDRESSING A COMMON MISCONCEPTION
Exercise alone will NOT keep someone healthy, fit and looking good all year round. This is damaging for countless reasons, but the most harmful is that it leads to overuse of muscles and ligaments without a proper, responsible focus on NUTRITION to support the body. This is a DISASTROUS combination, the effects of which lead to injury, fatigue and exhaustion. At Soul, we’ve seen clients with nagging pains and burnt out engines completely ignore the importance of wholesome foods, and we’ve been able to help these same people realize that a healthy relationship with what they eat is just as important, if not more important, than what they are physically able to accomplish on the gym floor. As a matter of fact, many of these clients realized that a productive relationship with food is actually what LED them to meet the athletic goals they once pursued within their limited tunnel vision of what fitness really entails. It’s our work with clients like these that finally led us to develop Team Soul Nutrition because we believe in meeting the needs of the whole person, and there’s no better way to do that than to capitalize on input to maximize output.
THE HEART OF OUR PROGRAM
One on one nutrition coaching is at the center of our program and what really makes it unique and successful. You will be working with an ACTUAL HUMAN, a screened, trained and certified coach that will teach you the ins and outs of meal prepping, weighing, tracking and more. Because they know that no two people are the same, our nutrition coaches listen to you and make adjustments to programming to help you make sense of YOUR anatomy and relationship with food. The magic happens at the week to week check ins where your coach will see what you are eating, how you are feeling and give you feedback specific to YOUR life, YOUR goals and the things YOU face on a day-to-day basis. Regardless of your body weight and history with dieting or whether your goal is weight loss or weight gain, athletic performance or implementing a healthy lifestyle, our program and coaches are for you.
WE FOCUS ON LIFESTYLE, NOT “DIETING”
At Team Soul Nutrition, we work to undo years of conditioning that have likely taught you that a “diet” is something restrictive, boring and temporary that you DO. Instead, we aim to get you to understand that your diet is simply and literally WHAT YOU EAT and a part of your overall healthy lifestyle. In other words, it is not something you do for short term results that cannot be realistically maintained. Instead, it is the food you use to fuel you now AND in the long run as you focus on a sustainable relationship to food and eating.

• How to use water intake, micronutrients, sleep and positive talk to support a sustainable way of eating.
